Here is the book I used to locate and understand the Italian civil records - Discovering Your Italian Ancestors by Lynn Nelson.

Rucker Remembers is the auto- biography of our very own cousin Fred Ridolf.  The book chronicles his “charmed life” of nearly 80 years as one of "The Greatest Generation”, and offers as well a glimpse into the history of one piece of the Ridulfo family. Fred was also very kind to mention all my efforts with the Ridulfo Family Genealogy and Reunions in his book.

D!RTY ITALIAN - teaches the casual expressions heard every day on the streets of Italy. Next time you’re traveling or just chattin’ in Italian with your friends, drop the textbook formality and bust out with expressions they never teach you in school, including:

•Cool slang
•Funny insults
•Explicit sexual terms
•Raw swear words

Genealogy on TV...

Our favorite genealogy show, Who Do You Think You Are, was recently picked back up by TLC. If you’ve missed any, you can watch some clips online here.

“Finding Your Roots” from PBS is also highly recommended. You can watch the 10-part series online here.

There’s another great program that recently aired on PBS called Genealogy Roadshow. You can view the four episodes online here.
